3D Robot Character Design 

    Week 11 (23/3/2023)


This is the lighting turntable I tried. 
I changed the hand and moved it lower for the hand silhouette to be seen better. 






I had to make the environment like a safe place to protect jewels and to make the laser look like it has 2 walls for it to connect. 
I made 2 columns for the laser to connect
a table for the emerald to take place
some safe boxes to decorate the environment
and a small wall for the lizard to come out.


later, I realized that the floor was too dark and can't really see the walls since the colors seemed the same.
I would have to make lights and re-arrange the wall colors to make them more natural.


I added a temporary directional light to see the overall texture of the background, but I think its okay so I finished the texturing and started making key poses for the animation.

I added mesh light to the laser so it would look like it. I tried using Blinn but when rendered, it was shown that it was obviously a cylinder. I wanted it to look like long light so I tried adding mesh light by closing the shadow and it turned out okay so I added it with red light

Made the floor wider for the robot to move swiftly and comfortably

  1. Omg nice background props and environment, it looks really interesting! Maybe you can consider having a spotlight shining directly on the jewel and darken the room to make it look spooooky?

    Looking forward to seeing the final animation~
